What Lurks Beneath…?

With the country’s ageing Victorian sewers and the rise in usage of disposable cloths – the United Kingdom is the ‘fatberg’ capital of the world. In one year alone; Thames Water spends 12 million removing them.

What exactly is a ‘fatberg’ and how are they created?

A fatberg is a congealed mass of just about everything you flush away – a mountain of solidified oils, amalgamated with wet-wipes, cotton buds, nappies, needles and food waste. It’s easy to be rather perfunctory when pressing the flusher on your toilet; expelling the waste from your home – you may be relieved of the waste’s burden, but it soon becomes the responsibility of the hazmat suit-clad sewer worker – as they are forced to spend weeks removing the concrete-hard fatberg.

Monster Fatberg!

In 2017, a 130 tonne, 250-metre-long mass was discovered beneath the streets of Whitechapel, London – weighing more than 11 double decker buses! This served as a striking reminder of the need to amend our ‘devil-may-care’ attitude when it comes to water waste, and dedicate full attention to banishing these bergs!

Fight The Fatberg!

eco WMT has introduced the most effective solution yet – a new, quick and easy method of eliminating congealed fats and oils from sewer networks. Our company’s “eco tabs” can also be employed in a domestic environment; not only are they able to eradicate the fat, oil and grease (FOG) that builds up in kitchen drainage systems, prolonging the life of the equipment and pipework itself – but they are also able to stop them from entering the wastewater network – destroying fatbergs at their very source!

Permit Free, Pathogen Free, Chemical Free – Hassle Free

Biological” enzymes are proven to be vastly ineffective, since they only liquefy FOG – leaving them to be washed downstream and solidify elsewhere. Due to their inadequacy as a solution, as well as their environmental toxicity – enzymes have already been banned in the US, Canada, Australia and the EU – with the UK soon to follow in suite. eco tabs offers the highly efficient, natural, environmentally friendly alternative that the market desperately requires.

There’s no product on the quite like eco tabs; 100% non-toxic and safe for all humans, animals, as well as aquatic wildlife. Backed by The Environment Agency – there is no need for permits as no chemicals or pathogens are present.

eco tabs’ unique non-pathogenic bacteria ‘eats’ FOG, making the water odourless and blockage free. This process is quick, easy, and requires no protective clothing.
