Background

If neglected, ponds and lakes can become anaerobic (without oxygen) due to high levels of phosphates and nitrates, which then promote the growth of algae and weeds. As the pH levels increase and oxygen levels decrease, aquatic life can struggle and die. In hot weather, anaerobic water can become stagnant and odourous.

Eco Tabs’ bacterial treatment digests (eats) sludge at the bottom of the lake/pond whilst oxygenating the water, using unique micro dot separation technology. The bacteria digest the organic sludge, therefore cutting off the food source for algae and weeds.

Solution

“Over an 8-week treatment period, the results are fantastic. The water had become anaerobic, cloudy and with constant complaints of it being ‘smelly’. This was exacerbated by a powerful fountain that stirs up the chalk base (previously a quarry). The duckweed and reeds were out of control and the waterfall was covered in algae, which made the site look neglected.

After using Eco Tabs, there was a noticeable improvement after just 2 weeks. The water became clearer and the ducks were staying longer. After 8 weeks of treatment, the water became clear and aerobic, the waterfall was algae-free and aquatic life and wildlife were thriving. Why are Eco Tabs better than my current products?

There are no products on the market similar to Eco Tabs. Manual cleaning of the pond and the removal of weeds and algae were the normal routine for the ground keepers. This meant using a boat for access and specialist disposal of toxic sludge.

Eco Tabs are unique and 100% environmentally friendly, as well as 100% safe for all human, animal, avian, aquatic and wildlife. Eco Tabs are a blend of specific non-pathogenic bacteria chosen to do a certain job, i.e. digest (eat) organic sludge. Once the bacteria have digested all the organic sludge, they die off (3-4 months) and are digested by the new bacteria. The byproducts of non-pathogenic bacteria are 95% water and 5% carbon dioxide.

Are Eco Tabs better value than my current products?
