26 Jun Facilities Show 2019
With over 282 exhibitors showcasing their latest products, as well as fascinating guest speakers – it was an exciting few days at The Facilities Show for eco tabs!
Taking place from 18th to 20th June, the show provided a great opportunity for us to meet a diverse array of company representatives and spread key information regarding our product. This has enabled us to ignite interest amongst many businesses looking to implement eco tabs into their facilities.
Showcased by BUNZL Cleaning & Hygiene Supplies; our striking stand received much attention during the three days. Visitors could witness the power of our product through the onscreen video demonstration – the urinal cross-section at the centre of our space also provided our audience with a visualisation of the often unseen problem, featuring a mock-up of uric acid crystals inside the pipe.
Besides being a fantastic environment for business networking – the seminars held at this year’s Facilities Show have been particularly engaging. A highlight was certainly Steph McGovern’s speech; outlining her experiences from within the engineering industry – to becoming a business presenter for the BBC, as well as additional humorous musings regarding her interview with Donald Trump in 2012. McGovern also stressed the value of vocational training in children and YouTube as the ideal tool in appealing to the young – hoping that the BBC’s induction of her succinctly working-class wit and heavy Yorkshire accent, serves as a microcosm of the changing values across all sectors of UK industry.
The second day saw Eddie the Eagle take to the Keynote Theatre – speaking alongside Larry Wilson; author and creator of SafeStart. The former Olympian gave insights on his career, his most serious injury and a refreshing perspective on risk. An interesting and amusing take on the theme of Safety & Health within the work environment!
Finally, one of the world’s best known rugby players – Jonny Wilkinson, conducted a wonderfully heartfelt speech; detailing the psychological toll his success has brought upon him. Delving deep into his struggles with depression, anxiety and panic attacks; the unguarded monologue seemed a cathartic experience for the impassioned sportsman – the perfect conclusion to an inspirational show!
